In The Hook I'm doing ok, I have to pay thousands of cats every week in taxes but I make more selling things so it's working, it's just a heck of an annoying walk to get anywhere north of Clownsteady and The Hook doesn't have the best shops. The only other base I tried to build was in Okran's Pride, and I had like three women at camp researching and mining while my two dudes were way up in The Great Desert trying to find the Trader's Guild, and no sooner than they got back the Holy Nation raided my camp and literally killed my entire squad for having too many women in it. Im new also and need a sorta safe place to set up a base to train and craft up weapons and armor so i can become stronger. So, I created this base Southwest of Drifter's Last that is pretty amazing, it has cooper and iron, 100% fertility, water, stone, and the nearby towns are a good place to buy armor and weapons and keep myself resupplied between selling things off.īut I don't like being that far south, especially because I have to cross the swamp to get anything they don't sell in The Hook, so I was wondering if anyone knew any places north of the Swamp, outside of Holy Nation territory, that are equally good and relatively flat, that aren't plagued by nonstop dust storms.
